Dental Implants

Are you missing a tooth? Maybe even more than one tooth? Missing teeth can make it difficult to eat, speak, and smile with confidence.

Dental Implants are the most advanced method of tooth replacement. Dental implants offer strength, durability and a realistic look that can’t be matched using other methods. If you’re looking to replace a missing tooth that will last a lifetime, implants are considered one of the best treatment choices.

What is a Dental Implant?

What Are the Benefits of Dental Implants?

Are Dental Implants Expensive?

No, not at Pinetop Family Dental! Some dental offices overcharge for dental implants, but we have the best prices around. We are proud to offer a life changing service at an affordable price. To find out the exact price, we’ll need to do a full oral exam to learn what is needed during the procedure. Most major dental insurances cover up to 50% of dental implant treatment. At your consultation appointment we can inform you of what your insurance will cover and what your portion will be.

What can you expect throughout the process?

Consultation

One of our Doctors will complete a full dental exam and review your medical history. After assessing your oral health, we’ll decide if dental implants are the right procedure for you. We’ll then create a specific treatment plan that fits your schedule and needs.

The Procedure

After taking  a 3D image of the implant site, one of our Doctors will place the implant in a single visit. In a simple procedure, a post will be mounted into the jaw bone to hold the crown in place. This procedure is safe, predictable and pain free after a thorough review of the health history and the 3D image.

Healing Period

Over the next two to four months, your jawbone will fuse to your implant. This process is known as “osseointegration”. To ensure a healthy recovery, we recommend that you refrain from tobacco use, and that you maintain good oral hygiene.

Abutment Appointment

Once your recovery is complete, you’ll come back to the office so an abutment can be added to the implant. An abutment is a small connector that attaches the implant to your crown. During this appointment digital impressions will be taken to design your permanent crown or bridge to match the size, shape and shade of the existing natural teeth.

Final Restoration

A few days after the abutment has been placed, you’ll return to our office to cement your final crown or bridge. Once the crown has been placed, you’ll be able to enjoy your new and natural looking, fully functional tooth.

Frequent Questions About Dental Implants…

Will My New Tooth Look & Feel Real?

We use high quality materials to ensure that your new tooth (or teeth) look and feel natural. After your recovery you’ll have a fully functional tooth that you can trust in any situation. Your new tooth will be fully functional and beautiful.

Is the Procedure Painful?

As with most dental procedures, we offer anesthesia to keep you comfortable throughout the procedure. Implants are most painless because there is very little trauma to the bone and gum tissue when the implant is placed.

How long will the process take?

In most cases there are two appointments required for your implants; first, to place the implant and second, to place the abutment. A temporary tooth can be placed during the healing process. Within 2 to 3 months the healing process will be complete and we’ll attach your new crown to the implant to finish the process.

How Much Do Dental Implants Cost?

Implants are now more affordable than ever before. The cost of your treatment can vary depending on the type of procedure you’ll need. Our prices for a single tooth implant start at $1,000 for the implant and $800 for the crown.  We understand the expense of a dental implant can be a burden. We do our best to work with patients by offering payment plans through care credit and other financial services.

Will the Procedure be Covered by Insurance?

Most major insurance companies will cover implants but in cases where they don’t we offer other options including payment plans and same day cash discounts.
